History

The City of Lake Worth started to get its first settlers in 1910. But it was first populated in 1885 when what is considered the real pioneers came then. There is a lot of history around Lake Worth, Florida. The first settlers, Samuel and Fannie James were said to be ex-slaves who settled on the shores of the Lake Worth Lagoon.

With easy access to the Atlantic Ocean which is on the east coast of Florida. There is so much you can do in the city. The City of Lake Worth is not far from some other popular areas such as Boynton Beach, The Village of Wellington (The Equestrian Capital of the World), The Village of Royal Palm Beach, and West Palm Beach. Lake Worth is approximately 10 minutes from Palm Beach International Airport and is close to major highways that can lead to the many attractions Florida has to offer. With shopping close by at The Wellington Mall, and the Palm Beach Outlets, you can jump on over to The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, or you can stay local to Lake Worth Beach and enjoy local entertainment and dining.
